Building for Generations means showing responsibility and respect for people, communities and our shared environment. Anyone in the building industry has a responsibility to think sustainably. Sustainability – not only in terms of how building materials perform and how they impact on the climate, but also in terms of architecture and how the materials age. Whatever we build today needs to age well so that future generations also like the buildings and want to live there too. Well-designed architecture – combined with materials that stand the test of time and age gracefully – remains attractive for generations. If we all recognise the fact that social, environmental and economic sustainability go hand in hand, we really will be thinking sustainably. /p>
